MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers)
If you're a mother of a child, birth through age six, MOPS is for you! MOPS is a group of moms of all ages and backgrounds who desire to be the best moms possible. MOPS is a place where moms are refreshed, and their commitment to family renewed and energized. At MOPS, you'll develop friendships with other moms and get resources to equip you for your important role.
We meet every other Tuesday at Fellowship Chapel 12875 14 Mile Road (between Hoover and Schoenherr), Sterling Heights beginning in September and going through May. Meetings are from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and childcare is provided.
What happens at a MOPS? When you arrive, you'll drop your children off in their age appropriate classroom. Each child will get a snack and enjoy story time, music and play time. After you've given your little one a good-bye hug, you will stop in at the registration table. Meetings are $5 each week--this covers craft and speaker costs. Once in the meeting room you'll be welcomed by our mentor mom Ruth and have a few minutes to chat with other moms. We normally have announcements and breakfast and then get to listen to a speaker share information we can use in our daily adventures of mothering. We usually have a craft/activity time and discussion time before picking up our children.
Each year the steering team works hard to find speakers that are informative and enjoyable.
Fellowship Chapel MOPS also has a year-round play group that meets at different parks or kid-friendly places. Check out the play dates and MOPS meetings listed at www.macombmommy.com!
Please join us and give MOPS a try! We look forward to meeting you!
